Business Computing BSc

This degree combines the range of Information Technologies (electronic office databases, programming, databases, and the internet) with fundamental areas of Business (management marketing, accounting, economics and law). Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze information requirements and comprehend the business processes in order to develop information systems.

You’ll discover how to recognize intuitively, based on a mix of knowledge and experience, the dynamic mix of processes required for information delivery systems to fulfill their duties in an organization. You’ll also learn how to recognise that a business is an organisation that is constantly changing and evolving, and how its information systems have to adapt to these changes and the ever-changing requirements and demands of users.

You will develop your IT and computing abilities in your second year with workshops and project work. You’ll learn from our academics and take part in an internship in which you’ll put your new knowledge into practice.

Our teaching is based on the latest technological advancements. We concentrate on the use of these technologies in business. You can choose from a wide range of modules including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as well as e-Business Technology. Regular guest speakers from top businesses will enhance the course and help highlight the relevance of the subject matter you’re studying and the opportunities for career advancement for our graduates.
